Gordon Tang’s International Investment Knowledge Stems from Pursuit of Business and Pleasure
Gordon Tang is the chairman of American Pacific International Capital, Inc., which was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. The international investment holding company has properties in the U.S. and Asia. Its portfolio includes hotels, mixed-use residential developments, themed malls and others. Gordon Tang is not only a savvy businessman, but also an active sports fan and philanthropist.
Gordon Tang, who was one of the first professional windsurfers trained in China in the early 1980s, has traveled the world to enjoy the sport. So there is no surprise that Mr. Tang is known for his charitable donations to various sports related entities such as the International Olympic Museum in Switzerland, which received $2 million USD, Shantou Olympic Sports Academy in China, which received 300 million RMB and the Cambodia Sailing Federation, for which he is the vice President among other things.
Gordon Tang has provided the sailing team with substantial support in order for it to compete in the 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Gordon Tang also made a $10,000 donation to help SEA Games-hopeful Sam Rim train for gymnastics in China. In addition to supporting sports, Gordon Tang has donated around $200,000 USD this year to other charitable organizations in the US.
